Cherry Blossom Festival

The smell of something sweet drifting throughout the air. The trees orchestrating softly in the wind. The grass warm beneath you as your sprawled out under the cool shade of a tree. Looking up, are these cute small pink flowers that bloom from those branches providing that sweet smell of cherries.

The sound of children laughing and screaming as they play their games. The bark of a dog chasing after its toy returning to his owner, tail in the air and wagging fast. Music loud enough to hear from the White House courtyard, echoing throughout the surrounding streets for all the hear. All this creating my trip to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. one like no other.

My Fiance and I along with 2 other friends who tagged along to visit the tree’s, ended up experiencing much more than just a few hours at a festival. We were able to experience Washington D.C. An hour and a half alone was spent in traffic trying to find parking. That was a learning experience for us all. But in the end, we were all able to be there together making memories and enjoying a change of scenery from our busy lives. Thank you for that it was much needed. Until next time D.C.

P.S. Never forget to smile 🙂
